The Dixie and Bass website was inspired by the characters on the original 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon label. Conceived in the fertile imagination of Randy Clark, a Bellingham, Washington illustrator, the bird and dog combination (Dixie and Bass, respectively) was the perfect representation of an unusual wine pairing — the underlying strategic foundation of the Dixie & Bass wines themselves. We ran with this, giving witty, slightly sarcastic personalities to both players, and weaving their banter throughout the site and social media.
